Lewis, Patricia, 80, retired youth bowling director, died Thursday, April 5, 2007. A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Countryside Christian Church where Mrs. Lewis was an active member. Pat was born April 16, 1926 in Augusta, Kansas, to Dwight and Vesta (May) Finney. She graduated from Wichita East High School in 1944. Pat later married the love of her life, Sheldon Lewis, from Wichita, in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1977. Passion for the sport of bowling dominated Pat's life. She set Kansas participation records as youth bowling director at Crestview Bowl, Boulevard Bowl, and Flight Lanes in Wichita, and King Louie Ranchmart Lanes in Leawood, KS. After retirement, Pat remained involved in the sport through creation of church and senior bowling leagues. She is survived by sons, Michael (Marjorie) Lewis of Bentonville, AR, Douglas Lewis of Wichita, Mark (Danita) Lewis of Wichita, and daughter Kit Lewis of Eagan, MN, brother J.D. Finney of Andover, and sister Susie Colbert of Wichita, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
