Bill Martin

Martin Sr., William G. "Bill", age 85, went to be with his Lord Saturday evening, April 21, 2007, surrounded by his loving family. The visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM Wednesday, in the Garden Chapel of Watson Reflection Pointe, 3201 S. Webb Road, Wichita, KS with services scheduled for 10:30 AM Thursday, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1400 East Kellogg Drive, Wichita, KS. He was an ordained Elder in the Wesleyan Church and later in the Church of the Nazarene, and in addition to pastoring he assisted churches in financing their expansion projects for nearly three decades. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Wanda Patricia; four children--Sherill (John) Hubert, William G. aka Jerry (Paula) Martin Jr., Bev (Terry) Bryant, all of Andover, KS and Janis (Bruce) Munn, of Overland Park, KS; five grandchildren and seven and soon to be eight great-grandchildren. He was a very loving and caring husband, father, Pop and Grand-Pop. He always enjoyed vacationing with his family and spending quality time together with them. His family will always be grateful for the Christian heritage his has passed down to them, and his legacy will not only be carried on in this life, but will extend into eternity. Besides his passion for his family, he had a vision and passion to help expand the Kingdom.
