Biltz, Jean (Matthew), 85, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend went to her eternal home on Oct. 19th, 2011. Jean passed peacefully. On hand, to welcome her to heaven is Harry, her husband of 59 years, infant grandson, David Biltz, and son-in-law, Lewis Hearne. Jean was born in Kansas City, MO to Fern (Williams) and Ned Matthew. She attended Paseo High School and Kansas City University, where she met her husband, Harry Anthony Biltz. They moved to Colwich, Kansas in 1954 and raised their nine children there. Nothing was more important to Jean than that her children know and love the Lord. Jean taught religion classes to the children of Sacred Heart parish and later on in life shared her faith with the R.C.I. A. at St Joseph parish in Wichita. After her children were grown, Jean became a practical nurse at St Francis Hospital and also cared for the Sister Adorers of the Blood of Christ in their infirmary. Jean was an associate of their congregation and also an oblate of St Benedict. Jean was a prolific writer, a poet, and an artist. She loved the beauty of nature and small animals. Jean is survived by: her children, Gayle (Greg) Beuke of Rose Hill, Gregory (Patty) Biltz of Scottsdale AZ, Wendy (Dennis) Majerus of Winston Salem, NC, Jenny Hearne of Oklahoma City, Harry (Melanie) Biltz of Mulvane, Mary Lark (Terry) Corbett of Wichita, Kevin (Gary) Ruegg of Mesa, AZ, Mark (Vicki) Biltz of Seattle, WA, Tim (Mary Jane) Biltz of Haven; brother, Ned Matthew of San Jose, CA, brother-in-law, Steve Biltz of Peyson, AZ; 44 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren. A rosary and celebration of her life at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Andover on Sunday, Oct 23rd at 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass on Monday, Oct 24th at 10:30 AM. Burial following at Resurrection Cemetery. A memorial has been established with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, 2nd floor, Bethesda, Maryland 20814.
