Mary Ann Hobson

Derby, HOBSON, Mary Ann, 73, loving wife, mother and grandmother and retired Derby Public Schools employee, passed away at home surrounded by family and friends, Monday, July 23, 2007, after a struggle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Lizzie Hlavaty, brother, Albert and sisters, Virginia Ebbs and Agnes Sanner. Survivors include her husband Dale R. Hobson of Derby, son, Alan Hobson of Wichita, daughter, Debbie (John) Olson of Derby, grandchild, Evan Olson, brother, Jody Hlavaty of Duncan, OK, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. The visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, in the Garden Chapel of Watson Reflection Pointe, 3201 S. Webb Rd. Private family burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Derby. Please remember Mary Ann with a memorial donation to Victory in the Valley or Kansas Humane Society.
