Calvert, Clifford Jacob "Jack," born January 22, 1946 in Ogallah, Kansas and died on May 23, 2012. Jack is survived by his son, Jack Anthony Calvert and granddaughter, Morgan of Plano, Texas; his daughter, Melissa Renee Calvert-Hayes and grandchildren, Ashley, Summer, and Levi of Providence Village, Texas; one brother, Hebron McCullough of Wichita, Kansas. Jack attended Derby High School and Wichita State University and the University of Southern California at Long Beach. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam conflict serving in the U.S. Navy from 1966-1970. Jack worked in the food business for Nestles, M&M/ Mars, Jimmy Dean foods, Bil-Mar, Mr. Turkey and Booth Seafood. Jack was an avid golfer and loved to dance, play shuffleboard and music. After retiring at age 62, he did handyman work and served the VFW as senior vice commander. His friendships, along with his family, were the most important of all to him, and he cherished his many friends and the life he had with them. Services will be held at Epworth United Methodist Church, 856 S. Green, Wichita, KS 67211, on Friday June 8 at 11 a.m.
