Ramona D. Vaughn

Vaughn, Ramona Dee, 92, passed away June 1, 2005. Visitation Monday, 5-7 PM in the Garden Chapel of Watson Funeral Home, 3201 S. Webb Road, Wichita, KS. Service Tuesday, 11:30 AM, Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church, 3700 E. Mt. Vernon, Wichita, KS, burial in the family plot, Hillcrest Cemetery, Florence KS. Preceeded in death by her husband, Vernon Ray, her brother, Donald Clyde Wiley, and her parents, Betty and Raymond Wiley. Her loving survivors include sons, Dale R. (Audrey), of Mound, MN, Donald C. (Moira) of The Woodlands, TX, and Dan W. ( Nancy), of Rose Hill, KS, 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Ramona traveled extensively world-wide with her husband during his career with the M. W. Kellogg Company, and was considered a lady of high morals and integrity by friends who span the globe and she leaves a legacy of love, courage and loyalty. She enjoyed substitute teaching as her children grew, was a member of the Eastern Star since 1947, volunteered for many years in the Junior Golf Program, was an elder in her church and loved being active in golf, bowling, bridge playing and gardening. She and her family wish to express appreciation to Trinity Hospice and to her friend and caretaker, Cynthia Drone. Memorials to Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church and the Kansas Humane Society.
