Alexander, Catherine Lindsay, age 83, retired United States Air Force and Civil Service Executive, loving wife and mother, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 15, 2007. She was born on July 1, 1924, in Hunt, Illinois, the daughter of Clara Haney and Robert Lindsay, going on to school in Illinois and Indiana and graduating from Business College in Terre Haute, Indiana. She enlisted in the United States Air Force and was in the first WAF graduating class, where her career lasted 18 years, working at various Air Force bases and the Pentagon. She married Harry W. Alexander, at Maxwell Air Force Base on March 15, 1968. She named as her greatest blessings: to be born an American, to be a Christian, to be Clara Lindsay’s daughter and Harry Alexander’s wife. She is survived by her loving husband, Harry W., children, Carroll L. Isom, Shawnee Mission, Wade (Cheryl) Alexander, Andover, Debra S. Alexander, Wichita, Denise (Bruce) Knudtson, Derby, brother, David Lindsay, of Florida, brother-in-law, David J. Alexander, Wichita, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
