Wayne Curtis

September 30, 1924 — April 5, 2013

Curtis, Wayne, 88, joined the Lord on Friday, April 5, 2013, peacefully in his sleep. He retired from the Wichita Eagle after over 40 years as a pressman. Preceded in death by his wife June of 64 years, daughter, Penny Johnston, parents, and a brother, Harold Curtis. Survived by his daughters, Ann (Dillman) Brendle, Wichita, Patricia (Dale) Kuhn, Derby, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. Wayne served his country during WWII in the Army as a Military Policeman, where he escorted prisoners. He was an active member of the Madison Avenue United Methodist Church in Derby. A family visitation and viewing will be from 6 - 8 PM Monday, at Watson Reflection Pointe and Crematory, 3201 S. Webb, Wichita, with Memorial Services Tuesday, April 9, 11:00 AM, at Madison Avenue United Methodist Church, 900 E. Madison, Derby. Inurnment will follow at El Paso Cemetery.
