Frances Nadine Burch, known as Nadine, passed away peacefully October 22, 2013 after a brave struggle with numerous medical conditions. She was born on September 25, 1925 in Verdigris, Oklahoma. Her parents William H. Miller and Viola Hill Miller preceded her in death as did 3 of her brothers, Kenneth, Eugene and Willard. She was the beloved wife of Lt Col Alvin F. Burch, US Army, Retired, who also predeceased her. She is survived by her brother Bobby Miller of Prague, Oklahoma, daughters Bette Burch of Lakeland, Florida and Nancy Patterson ( husband Pat) of Wichita, Kansas, grandchildren Emilie Johnson (husband Derek) of Bloomington, Indiana and James Patterson (girlfriend Mina Yamashita) of Hillsboro, Oregon, as well as many nieces, nephews and their children. After graduating from high school in Maud, Oklahoma, where she was raised, she attended Hillcrest Hospital School of Nursing in Tulsa, Oklahoma and became a Registered Nurse in 1946. She later received a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from West Texas State University in Amarillo, Texas. She married Alvin F. Burch, an Army pilot, on January 11, 1946. During frequent moves in the U.S. and Germany, she made a home for her family wherever they were. She loved to make people laugh with a good joke and would like to be remembered with a happy thought and a smile. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday at the Watson Funeral Home, 3201 South Webb Road. On Friday at 2 she will be laid to rest, with her dear husband, in the Ft.
