Amnart “Eddie” Paksin, 70, of Wichita, died January 3, 2014, with his family at his side. He was born in Ayutthaya, Thailand to the late Manat and Samang Paksin on April 27, 1943. Eddie came to the United States in 1971, where he graduated from the Academy of Aeronautics in Flushing, NY in 1975. He was married to his wife, Orrasa, for 44 years, and they lived and raised their family in Wichita for 36 years. He was an aircraft mechanic with Boeing of Wichita until his retirement in 2003. An avid golfer, he could be found at the course on weekends with his friends before retirement. During retirement, weekends on the golf course became weekdays as well. Along with golfing, he and his wife traveled and divided their time between Wichita and Bangkok. Eddie was also a great lover of music, enjoying his favorite classical records, as well as Elvis Presley and the Beatles. Eddie is survived by two daughters: Matawee “Ann” Paksin and Arraya “Onie” Hall, both of Wichita. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Peter and Maura Hall.
