James "Jim" Clarence Lingo, Jr., 58, of Wichita, formerly of Cedar Vale went to be with our Lord and Savior on November 23, 2005. He was born to James and Margaret (Noonen) Lingo on April 29, 1947 in Salina. Jim grew up in Salina attending Sacred Heart Cathedral Grade School and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1965. After graduation he served in the US Air Force during Vietnam. In 1972 he married Linda Carra; that marriage was later dissolved. Jim worked most of his life working in the aircraft industry. He served as undersheriff for Chautauqua County, as well as policeman for Cedar Vale during the eighties. Preceded in death by his loving parents and two brothers. Survivors include son, Richtor Bowman of Topeka; daughters Angela (Carra) Warburton and her husband Steven of Cedar Vale, Christine (Lingo) Metzinger and her husband Brandon of Arkansas City; sisters Mary Lingo and Julia Lingo of Salina, Barbara (Wayne) Wetzel of Bennington; brothers Charles Lingo of Lincoln, NE, Patrick Lingo and Stephen Lingo of Salina; 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all. Services will be held on Monday, November 28, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
