Robert D. Ruth

Ruth, Robert D., age 70, of Andover, Kansas, passed away, Tuesday, September 23, 2008. Visitation 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, services, 11:00 a.m. Friday, both in the Garden Chapel of Watson Reflection Pointe, 3201 S. Webb Rd., Wichita. Graveside services with military honors, 3:00 p.m., Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery at Winfield, Kansas. Robert was a retired United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran, former Andover City Councilman, and former owner of the Timbuktu Bar (1991-2004). He was a graduate of Wichita State University and Newman University. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Bobby, sister, Ruby. Survivors, son, Walter L. Ruth of Andover, daughter, Jerrie L. Gorges of Clearwater, sisters, Homerine Weiss and Joyce Green both of Winterhaven, FL., grandchildren, Jill, Jessie and Julie. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S.
