Alene Davis

Davis, Alene “Kay”, age 73, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond (“R.L.”) Davis, parents Laurel (“L.A.”) and Zela Stout of Chanute, KS, and her two brothers, Ernest Stout and Richard Stout. She is survived by her two sons, Mark Davis of Wichita, KS, and Troy Davis and his wife, Sarah Davis, Wichita, KS; nieces Renee Montoya of Salina, KS, Kimberly Wall of Topeka, KS, and Gail Fisher of Norman, OK. She passed peacefully at home with loved ones present. Kay recently retired from a career of over fifty years as a paralegal for Hite, Fanning and Honeyman. She was a member of the Sigma Phi Gamma sorority, Eta Omega chapter, and an avid bridge player, a member of multiple clubs. She also enjoyed her work, travel, cooking, Stan Kenton’s music and cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs. The family appreciates the outpouring of support from her many friends and colleagues. A special gathering in her memory is planned for Spring 2009. Memorials have been established at Harry Hynes Hospice and the Kansas Humane Society.
