Babbitt, Mona Jean, 65, loving mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away Friday, July 24, 2015. She was born June 18, 1950 to Robert and Ramona (Vogel) Starr, Sr. in Colorado Springs, CO. Mona’s life centered around her family. She was a religious person and enjoyed attending and participating at church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Art Babbitt; son, Kenneth Babbitt; sisters, Wanda Starr and Christina Starr; grandson, Robert Babbitt; and niece, Cara Babbitt. Mona is survived by her children, Billy Babbitt, Art (Sue) Babbitt, Jr., Lisa (Jerry) Spurbeck, Robbie (Beth) Babbitt, Calvin (Christa) Babbitt, Sandy (Gary) Jacobs, and Chrissy (Skylar) Stephens; siblings, Milton Starr, Mary (Wayne) McDonald, Esther (Robert) Rumph, Robert Starr, Jr., and Rose (Doug) Lightcap; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a large extended family. Memorial services: 2 pm, Monday, July 27, 2015 at Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services, 3201 S. Webb Rd., Wichita, KS 67210 and 4 pm, Sunday, August 9, 2015 at the Amargosa Community Center, 821 E. Amargosa Farm Rd, Amargosa Valley, NV 89020. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post #6826 Lady’s Auxiliary in Amargosa Valley, NV.
