Clark, Velma Arlene (Peterson), 75, spread her wings and moved to the other side on Sunday, February 26, 2006. A visitation with the family will be held from 7 - 8 PM Tuesday, in the Garden Chapel of Watson Funeral Home, with funeral services scheduled for 1:30 PM Wednesday at Countryside Christian Church. She was born on October 22, 1930, in Woodbine, IA. After starting her family and moving to Wichita, she studied bookkeeping and medical records before starting her administrative career with James Buchanon Associates, a CNA Insurance agent, then the Institute of Logopedics (currently Heartspring). She joined the Kansas Corporation Commission in 1983, retiring in 1993. She will now be able to join her parents Willie and Edna Peterson, 4 brothers and numerous friends and relatives. Survived by her beloved husband, Verne, daughters, Janet and Dennis Hilgenfeld, The Villages, Florida, Elizabeth and Tom Steindler, Wichita, K. C. Clark, Lewisville, TX, Susan Clark, Caroline Stubbs, both of Wichita, sons, Jerome and Sharon Clark, Harker Heights, TX, Richard Clark, Wichita, Ron and Tina Clark, Killeen, TX, sisters, Betty June Boyd, Columbia Falls, MT, half-sister, Shirley Robinett, Twin Falls, ID, adpoted sisters, Betty and Robert Spencer, Anaheim, CA, Louise and Dale Foutch, Logan, IA, adopted brothers, Robert and Shirley McGee, Susumi, CA, Ralph and Ann McGee, Las Vegas, NV, grandchildren, Brad and Adam Hilgenfeld, Hillary Steindler, Kegan Clark, Marissa and Miranda Stubbs, Alice Boyd, Lindsey Bledsoe, Grace Ann, Leslie, Lillian and Karlie Clark.
