Frevert, Lauren K., age 89, ret. United States Postal Service Postal Examiner, passed away Monday, April 13, 2009. The visitation with the family will be held from 6 - 8 PM Thursday, in the Garden Chapel of Watson Reflection Pointe, 3201 S. Webb Road, with services scheduled for 10:00 Am Friday, at Calvary United Methodist Church, 2525 N. Rock Road, 67226. Military Burial rites will follow in Yates Center, Kansas. Lauren graduated from the Los Angeles Police Academy then went to serve in WW II in the 35th Army Infantry and was an MP, where he served as an escort to General Eisenhower in England. He was a member or Northstar Masonic Lodge and Midian Shrine Temple. He is survived by his wife, Thelma, son, Ken (Linda) Frevert, Overland Park, KS, daughter, Shelia (Bob) Martin, Rose Hill, KS, sister, Freda Osborne, Mission, KS, grandchildren, Tonya Sands, Monica Martin, Wade Martin, Amelia Frevert, Brian Frevert, great-grandchildren Austin and Aubrey Sands. Memorial has been established with Calvary United Methodist Church.
