Charles D. Anderson

Anderson, Charles Donald, age 86, ret. Attorney and Federal Public Defender for the District of Kansas, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009. The visitation with the family present will be from 4 - 7 PM Tuesday, (tonight) with services scheduled for 10:30 AM Wednesday, both in the Garden Chapel of Watson Reflection Pointe. Full Military Burial Honors will follow in the Richland Cemetery in rural Douglass, KS. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Zerita Anderson, sister, Myriam Riley and great-granddaughter Emma Cartwright. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruby, children, C. Douglas (Karen) Anderson, of Destin, FL, Jani (Jim) Stoffle, of Augusta, KS, Anne (Chuck) Roach, of Halstead, KS, Mary Leierer, of Wichita, Marc (Pam) Anderson, of Goddard, Missi (Dean) Simon, of Cheney, 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, brother, Richard (Jayne) Anderson, of Montgomery, AL, sisters, Dorothy (Earl) Bush, of Albuequerque, NM, Sylvia Fritchman and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
