Mary Marable

Marable, Mary C. (Wallace) “Mimaw”, passed away April 15, 2006. Memorial services will be held, at 7:00 PM Thursday, April 27 in the Garden Chapel at Watson Funeral Home. Mrs. Marable was an active member of the Metropolitan United Methodist Church, Greensboro, N.C., the McConnell Air Force Base Chapel Community, and the Bennett College Alumni Association. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles Marable. Mrs. Marable is survived by her daughters, Anne and husband Rumsey Helms, Wichita, and Josephine Robbins, Buffalo, N.Y., sisters, Sylvia Heggie and Louise Crump, both of Greensboro, N.C., sister in-law, Margaret Vines, Raleigh, N.C., grandchildren, Charles Helms, Amy Helms, Rebecca and husband Robert McKnight, great grandchildren, Devin and Mary Helms, special niece, Jean and husband James Winchester, Greensboro, N.C., special nephew James Wallace Heggie, Greensboro, N.C., and a host of many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Marable’s name to Hospice Care of Kansas, 3241 E. Victor Place, Wichita, KS 67208.
