Thelma Gibbs-Ihde

Gibbs-Ihde, Thelma L., 92, homemaker, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006. A visitation will be held from 7:30-9:00 PM Friday in Watson’s Garden Chapel with funeral services scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday at New Covenant United Methodist. Mrs. Gibbs-Ihde was a longtime member of St. Lukes United Methodist Church, active in the ILUS Eastern Star, the 20th Century Club, the Sedgwick County Extension Club, and a 50-year member of the Wichita Senior Center. Preceding her in death were her husbands, William D. Gibbs, and Orville Ihde; sons, Dwight and William “Bill” Gibbs, and her sisters, Vera Rowe and Lola Coughenour. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Gibbs, Wichita; grandchildren, Michael, Steven, Douglas, William, IV, Angela, David, and Meghan: great-grandchildren, Morgan, McKenna, Kammi, Kanissa, Koree, Brayden, Queenie Marie, Douglas William, William, V., Nathan, Nicholas, Mitchell, and Madison; nephew, Herbert Rowe, Jr., A memorial fund has been established with New Covenant United Methodist Church, 250 N. Meridian, Wichita, KS 67203.
