Schilling, Donald Leo, age 84, ret. Tillie's Flower Shop finance controller for 25 years, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 23, 2009. The visitation with the family present will be held from 6 - 7 PM Wednesday, with services scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, both in the Garden Chapel of Watson Reflection Pointe, 3201 S. Webb. Donald was born on January 22, 1925, in St. Joe, Missouri, to Leo and Ina (Bridges) Schilling. He married Virginia Woodring in 1944 then became an Army Air Force Pilot during WW II. He was the treasurer/controller for McCormick-Mathers for 25 years. Later, he worked for his son-in-law, Ken Denton, the son Tillie Denton, the original owner of Tillie's. He retired in 2006 from Tillie's at the age of 81. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Virginia, daughters, Kathy (Ken) Denton, Pam (Eric) Kitchen, both of Wichita, brother, Dan (Shirley) Schilling, of Shawnee, KS, Ann (Don) Waldeier, of Grant City, MO, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
