McGee, Darrel Dee., 70, Former owner of R & D Camperland of Hutchinson, died Thursday, May 18, 2006. A visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 PM Sunday at Heritage Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30AM Monday, May 22 also at Heritage Baptist Church with burial following at Oxford Cemetery. Mr. McGee graduated from Wellington High School in 1953 and received a B.A. degree from Southwestern College in 1959. He worked in the R.V. business since 1967, he joined Fred Weir in manufacturing Mobile Villa Travel Trailers, which he continued in ownership until the late 1970's, then went on to start R & D Camperland on south Broadway in Wichita. That company was sold and Mr. McGee started R & D Camperland in Hutchinson. In addition to selling campers, Mr. McGee enjoyed golfing and antiques. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Elsie McGee. Survivors include his beloved wife Darlene; son and daughter in law, Dean and Sherry McGee of Towanda, KS, daughter, Dee McGee, Carrollton, TX; sister, Marilyn Lowry, Cambridge, NE, grandchildren, Jonathan, Audra, Valerie, and Candace.
