Kafka, Shirley V. (Straub), age 82, after 15 years at the Lancers Club, with many various jobs over the years before retirement in 2002, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009. Memorial Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, November 28, 2009, in the Garden Chapel of Watson Reflection Pointe, 3201 S. Webb Road. Shirley was born on July 23, 1927, in Granville, NSW, Australia, to Albert and Catherine (Lewis) Freeman. She was the last survivor of 6 brothers and 1 sister, also preceded in death by her son, Christopher Straub. Survived by her loving family, sons, Mike Straub, Tim (Becky) Straub, Steve Straub (Brenda Epperson), Brian Straub, Randy (Nancy) Straub, of Wichita, Kevin (Carol) Straub, of Sedgwick, daughters, Ali (Steve) Bohannan, Annie (Mark) Davis, of Rose Hill, Crystal Straub, of Wichita, 14 grandchildren, Lori Cross, Travis, Jared and Kimberly Straub, Melissa Straub, Briana Lewis, Cassie Straub, Shelley Downs, Amy Holscher, Josh Bohannan, Kyle, Katie Davis, Decima Straub, Kaleb Jeffrey, 9 great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends.
