Phyllis A Zuendel

Zuendel, Phyllis A., January 8,1928, a loving mother and mentor, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2006. A visitation with the family will be held from 7 - 8 PM Tuesday, with services scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, both in the Garden Chapel of Watson Funeral Home. Phyllis truely was an angel amoung us. She was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. for 39 years and was a volunteer at Wesley Medical Center and Victory in the Valley after retirement. She raised one daughter, Judy Z. Williamson, and also a niece, Suzy Hopkins. Phyllis loved animals, and was a very gentle and loving person, and one of God's peacemakers. She was preceded in death by her only husband, Ernie Zuendel, her only daughter, Judy Z. Williamson, her parents, Ray Farni, & Nell Mills, her sister Lois Davis, & brother Charles (Bud) Farni. Survivors include, the niece she raised, Suzy Hopkins of Wichita, sister-in-law, Gail Farni of New Mexico, 2 aunts, Mary & Dottye of Wichita and many nieces and nephews. Phyllis also acted as a grandparent to Eric DeLeon of Kansas City,Mo. She was a blessing to those who knew and loved her, and a mentor to many.
Phyllis, please rest in peace and go be with Judy and others you have missed so much, but know "We" have lost a precious gift. Please remember Phyllis with a memorial gift to the Kansas Humane Society, 4218 Southeast Blvd, Wichita, KS 67210.
