Rachel V. Bannon

Bannon, Rachel Virginia, 88, of Wichita, passed away January 13, 2007. Rachel was born June 11, 1918, in Coffeyville, KS, prior to the family moving to Wichita where she grew up and was educated. A retired dental assistant, Mrs. Bannon was a former president of the Kansas Dental Assistants Association. Mrs. Bannon was preceded in death by her husband, William Olin Bannon. Survivors include; daughter, Judith (Larry) Fear, son, Richard Bannon, of Dallas, TX, grandchildren, Amy Fear Bishop, of Prairie Village, KS, Richelle Bannon, of Dallas, TX, Keelee Kennington, of Dennison, TX, John Fear, of St. Louis, MO, two great-grandchildren, Jaden Gray Dennington and Catherine Mary "Cate" Fear and numerous nephews and nieces.Interment of cremains will be held as a private family graveside service. Memorial services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church chapel on Saturday, January 20, at 2:00 PM. A memorial scholarship in her honor has been established with the Wichita State University Foundation.
