Fred D. Sharkey

Fred D. Sharkey, 64, of Wichita, KS, went to be with the lord on Thursday, September 26, 2024.

Fred was born in Monterey, CA on January 4, 1960. Growing up, he loved spending time fishing, camping and being in the Boy Scouts. He graduated from Junction City High School class of 1978 and joined the Air Force where he proudly served his country for 8 years. Later in life he worked at Boeing and then Spirit AeroSystems Inc for 11 years where he retired as a manager. He was beloved by all his friends, co-works and family. Fred's favorite past time included family vacations, camping, family gatherings, making paracord accessories and watching the Kansas City Chiefs

Fred was a devoted husband and family man, he is survived by his wife, Vilaysack Sharkey; mother, Sumiko Sharkey; sister, Sue Dellere; children, Tia, Paula, Jessica and Timothy; and grandchildren, Alyana, Addalyn, Aydrik and Anora. 

Visitation: Friday, October 4, 2024, from 2 pm to 6 pm. Funeral: 2 pm, Saturday, October 5, 2024, both at Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services, 3201 S. Webb Rd., Wichita, KS 67210.
