Halie Rose Friesen, 16, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023. She was born January 24, 2007 in Wichita, KS.
Halie is the most selfless person in the world. From the beginning she has always wanted to help others and make a difference in the world. She had big dreams to pursue a full scholarship to Butler and wanted to become an EMT or firefighter. She just has the biggest smile in the world and lights a room with just her presence. She played softball, loved basketball and it was a big part of her life even if she didn't like it all the time. She always made sure she was caught up on school and ahead so that she didn't fall behind. Halie wanted to make people proud and always cared what people thought about her to her tic toc videos, makeup, hair, nails, any and everything. She wanted to graduate and live out her dream job, have 1 maybe 2 kids, she always talked about moving away because she wanted to live on the beach and have her dream house built. Halie loved all her crazy wild siblings and did all she could for them. She took on a lot of adult responsibilities just to help care for her siblings. Halie was simply an amazing, beautiful soul inside and out. She will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Troy McMahon and great-grandparents, John and Mary Strobel. Halie is survived by her significant other, Trevor Johnson; mother, Crystal McMahon; father, Ryan Friesen; siblings, Alyssa Friesen, Randon Shelinbarger, Kaleb Shelinbarger, Kara Shelinbarger, Landon Shelinbarger, and Eli Friesen; grandparents, Karen Goodwin, Tim Logan, Laura Friesen, and Jerry Friesen; great-grandparents, Patricia (Bill) Bentley, and Ronnie Goodwin; aunts and uncles, Jessica McMahon, Tori McMahon, Troy McMahon, and Melissa Friesen; cousins, Rileigh McMahon, Bailee McMahon, Parker McMahon, Paislee McMahon, Clayton Jones, and Cailey Friesen; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
