Hou Donesay

Hou Donesay, 91, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023.  She was born June 25, 1932 to Tang and Nou Vangdy in Vientiane, Laos. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thou King; sons, Sou Vangdy, You Vangdy, Phet Vangdy, and Mone Vangdy; son-in-law, Danny Syakhasone; and grandson, Welly Syakhasone.  Hou is survived by her children, Somphou (Paul) Vongsakda, Pabou (Wichai Yangsrila) Donesay, and Jennifer Syakhasone; sister, Chantsy Khotsyphom; grandchildren, Ghin Donexaymonkhon, Kham Jenkins, Diane Donesay, Roger Vongsakda, Joyce Salazar, Nina Vangdy, Ryan Vangdy, Bee Vangdy, Sakone Donesay, Savang Donesay, and Sunny Syakhasone; and 36 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 4 to 6 pm and Friday, August 25, 2023 from 4 to 6 pm.  Traditional Buddhist Service: 1 pm, Saturday, August 26, 2023, all at Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services 3201 South Webb Road Wichita, Kansas 67210.
