Ilean Smith

Smith, (Eva) Ilean, 91, went home to be with her personal Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023. She was born March 8th, 1932, to Peter and Winnie Miller in Admire, Kansas.  She and her husband, Larnard, owned and operated Larnard Smith Insurance Agency. She was a loving and godly mother and grandmother. She worked tirelessly and sacrificially for others without reserve. She continually put her own needs and desires last. “Her children arise and call her blessed…Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise…” Prov 31:28-31

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters; husband of 64 years, Larnard Smith; son, Jimmy Smith; daughter-in-law, Debra Smith; and great-grandson, Tristin McLaughlin. 

Survivors include her children, Jerry (Vicki) Smith, Carolyn (Dale) Elmore; sister, Ruth McMurtray; grandchildren, Jermey Majors, Misty Majors, Andrew Smith, Ory Smith, Anna McLaughlin, Nathan Elmore, Lydia Cress, and Leah LeClair; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. 

Visitation is Sunday, June 4th, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and funeral service is 11:00 am, Monday, June 5th, 2023, both at Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services, 3201 South Webb Road, Wichita, Kansas 67210.  Interment to follow at Reflection Pointe Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 417 W Central Ave, Andover, KS 67002-0007.
