Kurt McPhail

July 24, 1969 — July 9, 2024

Mulvane, Kansas

Kurt Riley McPhail passed away Tuesday, July 9th at 5:45pm at home with his Wife, Kathy McPhail, due to a sudden, unexpected and major cardiac arrest.

Kurt Riley McPhail was born and lived the majority of his life in Wichita, KS, with the latter years in Mulvane, KS. He was a devoted Husband and beloved Son, Brother and Friend to more than can be counted. He spent his free time in Mulvane with his soul-mate and love of his life, Kathy McPhail, who he met during the years he lived in San Diego, and their fur babies; Shelby, Parker and Lilly; their spoiled Huskies. The rest of his time was spent making every part of the world he touched a better place. His impact on those he touched and the love with which he affected so many can NOT be understated. As the Founder and CEO of MANY businesses, he had a HUGE impact on the gaming, travel and entertainment world with his professional portfolio being magnificent and unrivaled, but it was his impact on friends and loved ones that leaves an enduring legacy that will stand the test of time. As an ordained Minister he joined many hearts in matrimony and he was an equally binding force in the love and friendship of so many more. His passing has left MANY waking up to a world that is lesser due to his profound absence. He was and is deeply loved by many and his loss will be felt the rest of our days.

He was preceded in death by his younger Brother Jason.  Kurt is survived by his older Sister, Julie; his parents, Norman McPhail and Liz Steele; and step-mother, Ruth. Family was HUGELY important to Kurt and he spent much of his time caring for his parents and loved ones. The world will never know another like Kurt McPhail.

Services will be held Wednesday, July, 17th at 2pm at Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services, 3201 S. Webb Rd., Wichita, KS 67210. Kurt’s impact on so many lives assures this venue will not be large enough for the expected turnout. No venue would. Please be understanding. Rest in peace dear friend and may flights of Angels sing thee to thy rest.
