Marie Maude Jean Francois, 58, passed away April 2, 2025. she was born June 4, 1966 to Louis Pierre and Resia Jean in Saint-Michel-de-l'Atalaye, Haiti.

She was preceded in death by her father. Marie is survived by husband, Erick Jean Francois; children, Marie Esther Jean Francois, Jessica Elizabeth Jean Francois, Bruce Jonathan Jean Francois, and Hally Jean Francois; her mother; and brother, Marc Andre Pierre.

Funeral service: 1 pm, Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services, 3201 S. Webb Rd., Wichita, KS 67210. Interment to follow at Reflection Pointe Cemetery.

In Loving Hope: A Tribute to Marie

At 58 years old, Marie Maude Jean Francois—a mother, homemaker, and fearless woman of God—stepped out of our sight, but not out of God’s promises. She was the strongest woman and believer we knew, sacrificing everything to give her children a life grounded in faith. Her love, prayers, and bold spirit shaped who we are today.

Though cancer touched her body, it never touched her purpose. God spoke promises over her life—that she would be like Job, that she would testify, write books, and proclaim His goodness. Her last clear words to us were, “If God takes me, it will only be for a while.” She believed it wasn’t the end, and so do we.

Her favorite verse was Psalm 118:17: “Je ne mourrai pas, je vivrai et je raconterai les œuvres de l’Éternel.” — “I will not die, but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done.” We stand on that truth. God gave us dreams, revelations, and peace that pass all understanding. He said this isn’t a funeral, but a wake. A resurrection is coming.

We still believe. Because death doesn’t win here—God does.
