Max Lawson, 95, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021. He was born August 8, 1926 to Ivan and Juanita (Roeder) Lawson in Halstead, KS.
Max was a WWII Army Veteran and was stationed in the Philippines. He enjoyed remodeling homes, tending to his yard and flower garden, and woodworking. Max was a servant at heart and always found ways to help others at his church and through his remodeling business.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Virginia Lawson; and sister, Eula Mae Veeder. Max is survived by his children, Jerry (Diana) Lawson, Kathryn (Ray) Koerner, and David (Marilyn) Lawson; sister, Donna Lawson; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, August 18, 2021, from 3 to 8 pm at Reflection Pointe Funeral & Cremation Services, 3201 S. Webb Rd., Wichita, KS 67210. Funeral: 10 am, Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Calvary's Rock, 2661 S. Meridian Ave., Wichita, KS 67217. Interment to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bentley, KS.
