Teresa Payne

Teresa “Teri” Payne, 68, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019. She was born January 21, 1951 to Tyree and Mary Payne in Blackwell, OK. Teri spent her early days in Ponca City, OK and graduated from Ponca High School in 1969. The family moved to Corpus Christi, TX where she started working for Bell Telephone as an operator and advanced to field management. Her work with several Telecommunication companies moved her to Austin, TX, Denver, CO, and Tulsa, OK. where she specialized in Fiber Optics. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, shopping, and working on her place in Mounds, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Teri is survived by her siblings, Michael Payne and Reisa (Bruce) Weber; nieces, Jessica (Chad) Klitzing, Jamie (Timothy) Mustaine, and Elizabeth Boyles; nephew, James Boyles; great-nieces, Presley Klitzing and Ellie Klitzing, and great-nephew, Jackson Klitzing.

Memorial Service: 1:30 pm, Friday, February 15, 2019 at Wheat State Manor, 601 S. Main St., Whitewater, KS 67154. Private family inurnment at Rusted Heart Ranch.
